India vs England: Sarfaraz Khan Reveals Ravindra Jadeja’s Message about Run Out

India vs England

India vs England 3rd Test: Sarfaraz Khan struck a 48-ball half-century, the joint fastest by an Indian Test debutant in the post-Independence era, before leaving at 62 due to a disastrous run-out mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja.

Sarfaraz Khan‘s international debut was unlike any other in recent memory. There was every reason for that to occur. Sarfaraz Khan has been one of Indian domestic cricket’s most consistent players in recent years. However, the BCCI selectors took their time bringing him into the Indian cricket team. When it happened in Rajkot during the third India vs England Test, his father and wife broke down in tears. Sarfaraz Khan returned their faith with a confident performance.

Sarfaraz Khan struck a 48-ball half-century, the joint fastest by an Indian Test debutant in the post-independence era, before leaving at 62 due to a disastrous run out mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja. Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, was frustrated following the dismissal.

Sarfaraz Khan addressed up about his dismissal at the end of the day’s play.

“Miscommunication is an unavoidable element of the game. Sometimes you run out. “Such things happen,” Sarfaraz Khan said during the post-match press conference.

Sarfaraz Khan stated that Ravindra Jadeja assisted him throughout his innings. “I spoke to him around lunchtime. I’m the type of batter who enjoys discussing what’s going on while batting. So I told Jadeja to keep talking to me as I batted. Sarfaraz Khan remarked, “He was very supportive of me today and spoke to me at lunch.”

“He explained to me how debutants feel and how he felt as a debutant. I was a little anxious, especially after failing to complete my first sweep. But he advised me to take my time and it would be fine. I took his advice and tried to put it into action.”

Sarfaraz commented on what Jadeja said on the pitch: “He said there was a bit of miscommunication, but I said it’s okay.”

Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja scored classic Test match centuries, while debutant Sarfaraz Khan struck a fluent half-century as India reached 326 for five at stumps on day one of the third Test against England in Rajkot on Thursday.

With India reduced to 33 for three within the first hour of play, Rohit (131 off 196) and Jadeja (110 batting off 212) led the team over rocky waters with a 204-run partnership.

After the pair was separated, Sarfaraz (62 off 66) struck the joint-fastest fifty by an Indian on debut, propelling India past 300 runs before being tragically run out due to a mix-up with Jadeja.

Standing in the dressing room, skipper Rohit was enraged at Sarfaraz’s dismissal and hurled his cap in fury. Jadeja was batting with nightwatchman Kuldeep Yadav (1 batting) at the end of play.
