Shah Rukh Khan made a trip to Visakhapatnam to catch the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals. The Bollywood superstar, who happens to be the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise, is known for his unwavering support for his team. His arrival in Vizag didn’t go unnoticed, as numerous videos and photos surfaced online, capturing the excitement of fans. Many enthusiasts took to social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) to share snapshots of Shah Rukh Khan’s presence at the ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium. Sporting a casual black T-shirt, jeans, and shades, Shah Rukh Khan was accompanied by security as he exited the airport. Keeping his trademark ponytail intact, he hurried to catch the IPL match. However, upon reaching the stadium, the actor opted for a change of attire.

He was spotted in a relaxed purple shirt and a KKR cap while mingling with VIP guests at the stadium. The official X handle of the Kolkata Knight Riders team shared a photo of Shah Rukh Khan enjoying the match from the stands, captioning it, “KHAN SAAB WATCHING NARINE SHOW FROM THE STANDS!” Another fan account shared a picture with the caption, “King is Happy Me is Happy 😊.”

Recently, Gautam Gambhir, the former captain of KKR, expressed his gratitude towards Shah Rukh Khan after being appointed as a mentor for the team. Recalling a motivating message from Shah Rukh back in 2011, Gambhir said, “He (Shah Rukh) only told me the same thing that he had told me when I joined KKR as a player in 2011: ‘This is your franchise, make it or break it.’ He told me exactly the same thing. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I can assure you that whenever I leave this place, we will be in a much better position.”

Kolkata Knight Riders have been a part of the IPL journey since its inception in 2008. The team has tasted success, clinching the IPL title twice in 2012 and 2014. As IPL 2024 kicked off on March 22, the excitement and anticipation among fans continue to soar as they cheer for their beloved team.
